Description:

1) Landers, Frary, & Clark Model 1917 trench knife. Features a 9 1/8 inch blue triangular stiletto blade, stamped "D" shaped knuckle bow with six pyramidal protrusions, and a contoured smooth walnut grip. The upper rear portion of the guard is marked "U.S./L.F.&C./1917. Includes a green leather sheath with blue steel fittings and wire belt hanger. The leather is stamped "JEWELL-1918" along the stitched spine. 2) A.C. Co. Model 1917 trench knife. Features a 9 inch blue triangular stiletto blade, stamped "D" shaped knuckle bow with 10 outward bent flanges (five per side), round protruding pommel, and "A.C. CO. U.S.A. 1917" stamped on the inside of the guard. Includes a green leather sheath with steel fittings and wire belt hanger. The leather is stamped "JEWELL-1918" along the stitched spine.

Rating Definition:

Both are excellent. 90% plus of the original blue finish remains on both of the blades with small handling marks, wear lines from being removed from the sheaths, and sharp edges. The grips are excellent with light handling marks, and a few small pressure indentations. The sheaths are also excellent with tight stitching, light handling marks, and a natural aged patina on the blue steel fittings.
