Desirable Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle with Scarce 22 L. Rifle Marking

Manufactured in 1948. This rifle has the very desirable "22 L. RIFEL" marking on barrel and features a blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight with the Winchester legend on the left side of the barrel and Winchester factory proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Mounted on a 17 groove flat bottom forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock with a steel checkered buttplate.

ConditionVery fine with 90% of the original blue finish with minor scattered scratches and a few small areas of silver patina on the barrel and receiver. The wood is very good with most of the original varnish and scattered scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
