Manufactured from 1930, this is a scarce example of a factory engraved Remington Model 12 deluxe rifle. The barrel is fitted with a blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight and the rifle has a Lyman receiver peep sight. The rifle has standard Remington markings with the serial number engraved in large font on the underside of the receiver. The receiver has scroll engraving with a wavy line border. The sides of the receiver also feature small game scene engraved panels. The panel on the left side depicts a pair of rabbits in an open field. The panel on the right side depicts a squirrel in a tree. Nicely figured grooved forearm and checkered pistol grip stock with a plain hard rubber grip cap and a crescent buttplate marked with the Remington-UMC logo.

Fine. The rifle retains 40% plus faded original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The recheckered wood is very good showing some minor pressure dents and scratches with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
