Description:

The Remington rolling block design is one of the strongest and most reliable single shot firearm designs ever produced. The rolling block rifles and carbines have literally proven themselves around the world as excellent weapons and target shooters. The New Model No. 4 was manufactured front 1890 to 1933 and was available in multiple calibers. The .22 long rifle is the most desirable since it is still readily available and perfect for target shooting. This example was manufactured after the turn of the century given that it is a takedown variant and has a bead and globe combination front sight, dovetailed notch rear sight, standard markings (including matching serial numbers), and smooth stock and forearm with a carbine style buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 95% of the original blue finish and vibrant original case colors remain. There is some minor edge wear and slight light spotting in some areas. The restored wood is very good with minor pressure marks and light scratches and some slight repair work on the right side of the forearm. Mechanically excellent, and the markings are crisp.
