An improvement of the Model 1899 designed as a concealable pistol for the civilian market, built around a straight blowback action. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "crown/crown/U" proofs on the barrel and receiver, a set of viewing ports on either side of the magazine well, and "PAT./BREVETE/D.R.G.M." on the left side of the receiver. The underside of the magazine is marked with the Bergmann "gnome" logo, and the checkered grips are decorated with raised "Simplex" lettering.

Very fine, with 75% plus of the blue finish, showing some light scratches, areas of brown patina and mild edge wear. The niter blue and straw colors are bright and strong, and the grip is slightly cracked but otherwise fair. Mechanically very good.
