Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt address and patent markings on the left side of the matching numbered slide, "P" on top and a "W.B." inspected frame with "K/VP" and "89" marked trigger guard. Fitted with a milled short trigger, wide hammer, checkered magazine release, slide catch and thumb safety, long grip safety, checkered arched mainspring housing, transitional Colt grips (reinforced screws, dished back), unmarked full blue magazine and "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel. Included with the pistol is an extra magazine (Colt commercial production) and a 1918-dated Warren Leather Goods holster. The lower flats of the grips, the front strap and the back of the holster have been hand-marked to a Lieutenant E.L. Landen of the U.S. Naval Reserve who has not been positively identified.

Excellent with 98% of the original parkerized finish showing some cycling wear, scratches, takedown lines and handling marks. The grips are also excellent with some mild dings on the crisp checkering. The holster is very good with some scratches and cracks. Mechanically excellent.
