Manufactured in 1948. Fitted with a beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sporting notch sights. The barrel has standard markings. The top of the receiver and barrel are stamped with the Winchester oval "WP" proof at the breech. The upper tang is fitted with an elevation adjustable Lyman rear peep sight. The matching serial number is stamped on the lower tang and the bottom of the receiver at the breech. The lower tang is also lightly scratched with a previous owner's social security number. Mounted on a 17 groove round slide handle and straight grip stock with a checkered Winchester buttplate. Includes a canvas takedown carry sleeve.
