Manufactured in 1908. Fitted with a pined blade front sight, ladder rear sight and special order half magazine. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent date marking and the left side of the barrel at the breech is marked "38-55". The Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The left side of the receiver has a saddle ring. The upper tang is marked with the three line model trademark information. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock fitted with a special order hard rubber buttplate featuring the embossed Winchester logo.

Very fine. The rifle retains 85% bright original blue finish with the balance thinning to a brown. The hammer and lever retain 50% original case colors. The wood is fine with a hairline crack on the forearm and some minor handling marks overall. Mechanically fine.
