Blade front and hammer notch rear sights. The bottom barrel flat is mark "CH CHARLIER / BREVETE" under the loading lever. The left side of the barrel lug is marked with a "crown/U" proof. Cylinder engraved with the similar Indian scene found on Colt Dragoons and is marked in script "colts/patent" and with the Liege "ELG" in an oval proof on the rear. Iron spur trigger guard and back strap and fitted with one-piece smooth grips.
Fine with the barrel retaining 90% of the original bright blue high polish finish with some light flaking and light edge wear. The cylinder exhibits a silver mottled patina with rest of the metal surfaces exhibiting a smooth silver patina. The cylinder engraving is mostly clear. The grips are very good with some minor handling marks and a couple of light gouges. The action is fine. Formerly from the Will Hoffeld collection, purchased from E. Parson in August 1961.
