Manufactured in 1900. Fixed front pinned sight, folding rear sight graduated 0-20, two barrel bands, and full length magazine. The barrel has the two-line address marking ahead of the rear sight and "40-65/WCF" at the breech. Saddle ring and staple mounted on the left side of the receiver. The lower tang has the two-line patent date marking and serial number. Casehardened hammer and lever, and the remaining parts blue. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock and crescent buttplate.

Fine as refinished. The carbine retains 40% of the blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. Barrel vice marks and a couple areas of minor pitting are visible on the barrel. The hammer and lever retain hints of case colors. The wood has some very scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
