This is a very fine example of an early Mannlicher Model 1905 self-loading pistol, serial number "95". These were a significant semi-automatic design pistols and are considered a must have pistol for any early automatic pistol collection. This example has the early style factory markings located on the left rear side of the frame that reads: "SYSTEM/MANNLICHER/Md.1905/WAFFENFABRIK/STEYR". It does not have any proof or acceptance markings, nor does it have any serial number on the frame, slide or barrel. It is serial numbered "95" on the back side of each grip panel. It has the fixed blade front sight, and the "V" notch rear sight is machined into the very rear of the slide between the serrated areas. It is fitted with the standard serrated walnut grips.
Very fine with 80% of the original blue finish overall and minor corrosion/fine pin prick pitting ont eh both grips straps. The hammer and internal parts are still in their original "in the white" factory finish. The grips are in fine condition with minimal handling marks and nice, distinct vertical serrations. A desirable early Steyr Mannlicher Model 1905 pistol.
