This is a beautiful example of a restored Model 1892 rifle with an extra long 32 inch barrel. Equipped with a dovetailed blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight. The top barrel flat has the two-line address/patent information, "32 W.C.F." and a Winchester factory oval proof. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. Mounted with a smooth straight grip stock with steel forend cap and crescent buttplate. The included factory letter verifies the caliber and the 32 inch octagon barrel, noting arrival at the warehouse on May 1, 1906, and shipment the following day.
Very fine as professionally restored. The rifle retains 98% plus of the blue finish and case colors showing a few light handling marks. The wood shows limited minor handling marks. The action needs work as the hammer releases from the half cock position when the trigger is pulled.
