The barrel flats are marked with "CORDITE 60 GR BALL 400 GR MAX", "400 EX.", and British proofs. The forearm and barrels are numbered to the gun. Sling eyelets are mounted on the underside of the barrels and buttstock. Mounted with a nicely figured and checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a solid recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. The leather bound takedown case with brass corner protectors is lined in green felt and has a Thomas Turner of Fisher Street, Birmingham paper label on the inside of the lid. In "Heer der Neue Stockel," a Thomas Turner is listed in Birmingham from 1805 to 1890.

ConditionVery good as period refinished overall. The rifle retain 98% of the rust blue finish showing limited handling marks and sporadic pitting under the finish. The receiver has a smooth gray patina. The refinished wood is very good with limited minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
