Beaded blade front and two folding express notch style sight leaves on the rear quarter rib. The top of the barrel is marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET, LONDON". There are no British proofs on the barrel. Fitted with a Aldis Brothers scope dated "1916" on a Holland & Holland mount numbered to the gun. Engraved lever, breechblock, and receiver; locking safety switch, a tang mounted adjustable rear peep sight, checkered forearm with horn end cap, pistol grip stock, sling swivel eyes, and a skeletonized steel buttplate over a checkered bare butt.

Good as refinished with 55% of the blue, areas of a thin gray patina, some buffed light markings, and traces of small pits. The receiver has 50% of the original faded case colors, light spotting, and areas of darker patina. The wood is good with well defined checkering and small bruises and indentations overall. Mechanically excellent. The barrel appears to be .22 centerfire rimmed cartridge.
