The factory letter indicates this pair was sold in their current configuration, including "Furnished with black powder style frames and shipped as a consecutive serialized pair." However, the letter incorrectly indicates they were shipped in .44-40 when they were clearly in .45 Long Colt. They were shipped to Gopher Shooters Supply Inc. on December 19, 1984. The end label on the included box for gun B notes the serial numbers, configuration, and correctly identifies the caliber as ".45 LC." Both revolvers have standard markings and sights. Their serial numbers all match, including on the smooth grips which have gold Colt medallions and blind screws. The grips on A have an appealing blend of beige and cream tones, and the grips of B are mostly the attractive classic cream color with some slight natural variation. "28RC" is marked on the left heel of gun A, and "21RC" is marked on the left heel of gun B.
