According to Wilkerson in "The Post-War Colt Single-Action Revolver: 1976-1986," of the 9,951 model P-1840 revolvers manufactured only 113 to 125 are known to have been fitted with unfluted cylinders. Manufactured in 1981 with standard markings and features. Includes the original box with the unfluted cylinder noted on the end label, papers, and hanging tag.
