Manufactured in 1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the United States of America. Features a fixed blade front and elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights. The muzzle and breech ends of the barrels are engraved in tight flowing scroll patterns. The coin gray receiver features accents of American style scroll engraving and detailed animal scenes on the sides. An American bison is pictured on the right in a field, and an American bald eagle is on the left standing on a rocky outcrop. The right scene is signed "LCORTIS". Mounted on a nicely figured fancy checkered Schnabel tip forearm and straight grip stock with a lightly engraved blue steel crescent buttplate. Includes a hardwood case with a commemorative plaque on the lid, red velvet interior, commemorative medallion, and an etched Browning fixed blade knife numbered to match the gun.
