Manufactured in 1972 with fixed blade front and adjustable rear sights, and standard maker and model markings. The pistol features deeply cut leafy scroll engraving starting at the muzzle and front sight ramp and covering about 80% of the visible surface of the pistol. The barrel features four gold wire inlaid bands, two at the muzzle and two closer to the breech. The right side of the frame features a high relief gold inlaid eagle head in a gold inlaid oval border. The underside of the barrel is signed "SHOSTLE" in small letters. Fitted with a set of scrimshawed right hand thumbrest grips with a highly detailed American bald eagle head on the right and a big horn sheep on the left. The right grip is dated "77", and the left is signed "WHS".

Very fine as custom embellished by Master Engraver Ben Shostle with 98% of the deep blue finish, scattered light handling marks, sharp, deep engraving and bold gold inlays. The grips are very fine with light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
