Manufactured in 1900. Fitted with a Marble 47 beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel marked with the two-line address/patent information on the upper left flat followed by the two-line nickel steel marking and "32 W.S." The barrel and receiver have the factory oval proof at the breech suggesting that the rifle was returned to the factory after 1905. The upper tang has the three-line model/patent information, and the takedown lever on the magazine has the 1893 patent date. Mounted with a checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber factory grip cap and special order hard rubber factory shotgun buttplate.
Very good. The rifle retains 25% faded original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The lever and hammer retain traces of original case colors. The sanded, refinished wood is good showing some minor handling marks and worn checkering. Mechanically excellent.
