Manufactured between 1962 and 1968, the Darne uses a novel mobile breech assembly with a set of fixed barrels, the reverse of virtually every side by side shotgun on the market. Fitted with a single bead sight on the rib. The St. Etienne proofs are on the underside of the barrel group along with a set of six Darne punch-dots on the underside indicating the grade. The frame is smooth. There is light engraving on the breechblock and sculpted oak leaf designs around the recoil shield and the break lever.
