Civil War U.S. Starr Arms Company Model 1858 Army Double Action Percussion Revolver

The Starr Model 1858 Army and Navy revolvers were some of the few double action revolvers of the Civil War. Starr revolvers as a group were the third most widely used after only Colt and Remington. This example has standard blade and groove sights, standard factory markings, small single letter inspection marks, and inspector cartouches on both sides of the grip.

ConditionVery good plus. The revolver has brown patina and some slight pitting overall and 30% of the bright original blue finish which is mostly visible in the protected areas of the frame. The grip is fine with light edge and handling wear, several hammering marks on the butt, and light edge wear. It is mechanically excellent.
