1850 Dated E. Whitney U.S. Model 1841 Percussion "Mississippi Rifle"

Standard markings and features. Dated "1850" on the barrel tang and lock. A spare nipple is in the patch box.

ConditionVery good with brown and gray patina on the barrel, subtle case colors and gray patina on the lock, some minor oxidation and pitting, and fairly bright brass. There is an added number inside the patch box by the hinge. The stock is fine and has some small spots of what appears to be epoxy, some small slivers absent, and several scrapes and minor dents. Mechanically fine.
