A metallic cartridge conversion of the Remington-Rider pocket revolver that was introduced after 1873 with this example having a factory engraving. This engraving mostly consists of floral scrollwork on a punch dot background with geometric panel motifs on several of the barrel flats and accents on top of the frame, butt and back strap. The barrel is numbered to the gun and has the two-line Remington address/Rider patent dates marking.

Fine. 30% of the attractively aged darkened original silver plating remain on the barrel and front of the frame, otherwise a smooth gray patina. The engraving is crisp. The grips are fine with some minor chipping near the top (right panel). The action needs work as the trigger does not go back to the ready position after being pulled.
