Matching numbers are found on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder, loading lever, barrel wedge and arbor pin.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. Scattered traces of original blue finish remain on the barrel and flashes of original case colors remain in the protected areas, otherwise the revolver has a smooth brown patina. Nearly all of the cylinder scene remains. The grip straps retain traces of darkened original silver plating in the protected areas. The grip is very fine showing high edge wear and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Fine. The revolver has a smooth gray patina with the barrel retaining 60% original blue finish. There is some mild to minor pitting. The cylinder retains most of the scene. The grip straps retain 97% original silver plating. The refinished grip is fine showing some high edge wear and some minor pressure dents and scratches with most of original varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent.
