Manufactured circa 1957. The rifle is fitted with a medium weight target barrel with standard markings. It has a early type 1 Winchester Model 70 bolt with the type 1 bolt sleeve that is mismatched to the rifle. The bolt body has been repolished, obliterating almost all of the old serial number. The top of the receiver and barrel are fitted with the correct target/scope bases, and it currently comes with a 12x Lyman Target Spot rifle scope with screw in end caps. The scope is housed in a correct Lyman Gun Sight Corp. wooden storage box. The scope box includes a Lyman Corp. advertisement/flyer.

Excellent with 95% plus of the original blue finish overall, showing only minor edge and high spot wear overall. The stock is also excellent with a very nice factory oil finish showing only a few minor handling marks on right center section of the stock and a couple up near the comb on the left side. The Lyman scope is in excellent condition with 98% of the original blue finish overall with clear sharp optics. The scope box is also in fine condition showing minor handling marks on the sides.
