Manufactured in 1956, this is one of only 683 Model 70 target rifles chambered in .243 Winchester. Standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Scope blocks are mounted on the heavy barrel and front of the receiver. Polished bolt numbered to gun, late safety, straight receiver tang, trigger shoe, sling swivels and target stock with accessory rail, palm stop and checkered flat buttplate.
