No Parker Brothers 8 gauges are recorded in this configuration in "The Parker Story." possible making this a one of a kind Parker. This example was manufactured in 1911 and features a post front sight on a textured concave rib marked "PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. TWIST.," barrel lug marked "7" indicating a massive size 7 frame (the largest offered), shared extractor, matching serial numbers, patent markings on the water table and ahead of the trigger guard, "PARKER BROS" at the front of the locks, zig zag borders, silver shield on the upper wrist, horn tip and double diamond checkering on the forearm, and a pistol grip buttstock with multi-point checkered wrist, embossed hard rubber grip cap, 2 1/8 inch drop at the comb, 3 3/8 inch drop at the heel, a 14 inch length of pull, and a dog head embossed and checkered hard rubber buttplate.

Fine with an even dark blend of original finish and dark brown patina along the barrel, attractive twist patterns (especially visible in protected areas), strong case colors on the hammers and protected areas of the locks and water table, and brown and gray patina on the balance. There is some light oxidation and faint pitting. The wood is very good with mostly crisp checkering, some minor bruising, numerous small dings, and attractive variances in tone and grain. It remains mechanically excellent. An opportunity to own an incredibly unique 8 gauge Parker.
