DescriptionThe excellent Perazzi shotgun has a single nickel bead sight, with light border engraving around the chamber area, "PERAZZI BRESCIA MADE IN ITALY" on the left side of the upper barrel and Italian proofmarks concealed by the forearm. A gold-inlaid number "3" is present on the rear of the barrel rib, on the break lever, and on the underside of the forearm. The underside of the frame is signed "Galeazzi F.", with a combination of fine leafy vines, floral scroll designs and game scenes covering virtually all of the frame and locks, a gold-inlaid "S" position for the selective safety, gold washed single trigger and "EXTRA" in gold on the underside. All of the scenes feature woodcocks and show a fantastic amount of detail with the lock scenes crossing over onto the frame, a woodcock in flight through tree branches on the break lever and trigger guard, a pair of woodcocks coming in for a landing and a third sitting in a forest clearing on the left side, a similar scene on the right, and a downed woodcock in the mouth of a spaniel on the underside. It has an extra fancy checkered walnut stock and a beavertail forearm with engraved hardware, straight wrist and a sharply checkered butt. Included is a leather bound Perazzi case fitted for both shotguns, a stock adjustment driver and the original manuals numbered to match the shotguns. Measurements: weight - 5 pounds 14.0 ounces, chokes - full over improved modified, chambers - 2 3/4 inches, drop at comb - 1 1/2 inches, drop at heel - 2 1/8 inches, length of pull - 14 3/8 inches.

ConditionExcellent plus with 99% plus blue finish showing some minor handling marks overall. The frame and locks are a fine satin gray color. The stock is excellent plus with sharp checkering and fine grain. The case is excellent with a few light handling marks. All of the engraving is very finely executed with fantastic detail.

DescriptionAs A with "4" gold inlaid in place of "3" and a grouse theme to the decoration; a single sitting grouse on the break lever, five in flight over a field on the left, a lone grouse being pursued along the ground by a setter on the right, three taking off from a field on the trigger guard, and a scene of a downed grouse held in a spaniel's mouth on the underside. Measurements: weight - 5 pounds 12.8 ounces, chokes - extra full over full, chambers - 3 inches, drop at comb - 1 3/8 inches, drop at heel - 2 1/8 inches, length of pull - 14 3/8 inches.

ConditionExcellent. A small amount of brown spotting is visible on the upper breech area of the barrel and frame with some minor handling marks overall. 98% plus blue finish is present on the barrels with a fine satin color on the other components. The stock is excellent with a few light dings and fantastic grain. The engraving is all very sharply executed.

SHIPPING CHARGES. All shipping charges must be paid by the successful bidder prior to delivery of the firearm. If Rock Island Auction (RIAC) is asked to ship the purchased lots, there will be a separate charge for such shipping. Shipping charges will be based upon what it costs RIAC to ship the purchased lots to the purchaser. All items must have shipping insurance; this insurance is mandatory. RIAC will not charge any labor charges for shipping. RIAC is not liable for any acts of omissions in packaging or shipping. Purchased lots handled by outside carriers or packers, including those RIAC may have recommended, may carry their own insurance and any claims for losses or damages should be addressed directly to the outside carriers or packers. RIAC will arrange for packing and shipping at RIAC’s earliest possible convenience. RIAC will attempt to ship as soon as possible; however, due to RIAC’s high volume of absentee bids, shipping can take up to two weeks after full payment is received. In the case of crating or any exceptional packaging, the purchaser will be charged RIAC’s cost from outside agents. Purchaser pays shipping, packing materials, and insurance charges. The shipping of any purchased items outside of the United States is hereby classified as “foreign export”. All foreign export is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
