Scarce Auto-Ordnance Model 1928 Fully Automatic Class III/NFA Submachine Gun with One 50-Round Drum and Stick Magazine

This is an excellent example of a Model 1928 Thompson Submachine gun as manufactured by the Auto-Ordnance Corporation of West Hurley, New York. In 1975 the Auto-Ordnance corp again began producing a newly manufactured Model 1928 SMG. These SMGs can be easily identified by the use of an "A" suffix on the serial number of the weapons. All these new production weapons still retained many of the earlier original style parts such as the finned barrel, Thompson-Cutts style compensator on the barrel, vertical fore grip, detachable buttstock and adjustable ladder rear sight. The left side of the receiver is marked "U.S. MODEL 1928/No.2330A" followed by "THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN/CALIBER .45M1". The right side is marked "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION/WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.". This desirable weapon has an all walnut stock, vertical fore grip and pistol grip with the later brush blued finish. It is complete with one 50 round drum magazines and one 20 round stick magazine.

ConditionExcellent with 99% plus of the original blue finish overall showing only minor handling wear and light test firing. The wood components are all in excellent condition showing only very minor handling marks. Note: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
