This is an excellent Chinese manufactured type 56 (AK47) type class III/NFA sales sample machine gun imported by York Arms in Hurricane, UT. Fitted with a stamped folding stock with a metal buttplate. This rifle was probably intended as an export model as the factory markings on the right side of the receiver block have been ground off (probably factory 66) and it is now only stamped with serial number "17047373". The right side is marked with two Chinese characters at the semi-automatic and full automatic positions. The front underside edge of the receiver is stamped with a very small importers marks of: "Y A C UT/84737". It has matching numbers on the bolt, bolt carrier, top cover and recoil spring.

Excellent with 90% plus of the blue finish overall showing only minor wear on the edges and high spots. The handguards and pistol grip are both in very fine condition with their nice original oil finish showing only minor handling marks on the sides. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as being "LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)" and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License.
