This is a very fine example of a early post-WWI Weimar era Police Luger pistol manufactured by Simson & Co. in Suhl, Germany. It is correctly fitted with the sear safety (removed/clipped) with the standard side plate safety. This pistol has an undated chamber and the standard Simson & Co./Suhl marked front toggle and the small "Eagle/6" acceptance proofs on all the various parts. It has the regular military style serial number placement with the full serial number on the major components and the last two digits on the small parts as well as the "Eagle/6" rework proof. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with three small "Eagle 6" Simson proofs, two "Eagle/67" and one "Eagle/81" Simson & Co. proofs. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small double "Eagle 6" proof sometimes used during reworks along with the final Simson "Eagle" firing proof. It has the standard safety and extractor markings along with the standard checkered walnut grips. Complete with two nickel plated, unmarked magazines, with aluminum bases. The bases have been renumbered to match the pistol and are marked: "1/610/a/Eagle 6 and 2/610/a/+/Eagle 6". The early Luger rig is complete with a late Weimar black leather police holster that is stamped on the inside with "Kern Klager& Cie/1931/Berlin". The back side is also stamped has a single small police sunburst proof, and it is also correctly numbered "610" on the back to match the Luger. The holster also comes with a matching "Eagle/6" proofed police takedown tool that is numbered "610" on its face.
