Nazi German Type III Three-Cell MP38/40 Magazine Pouch with Magazines and Loading Tool

The Type III pouches could be worn as a single item (typically enlisted men) or as a pair (typically by NCOs and paratroopers). This is the left-side style pouch. Tan/Green canvas construction usually by date associated with Africa with black leather fittings, marked "MP.38u.40" on the rear with two out of three pouch straps marked "evg/42" (Max Oswald Lederwaren und Reiseartikelfabrik, Karlsruhe) in black ink, and one also marked with a stamped "WaA101". The magazines and loading tool are all "MP.38u.40" marked, with dates ranging from "40" to "42" and mixed Waffenamt stamps. Similar examples pictured and described in the books "Afrika Korps" by Kurtz and "Soldat" by Mason.

ConditionVery good, with some light stains and wear overall. All of the stitching and straps appear and feel solid, with some minor staining around the interior. One of the magazines has a loose floorplate retention spring, and none have been test-loaded, but all pass a quick hand-press test of the spring, and the tool appears in good order.
