Manufactured in 1935, during Nazi Germany's clandestine re-armament program, the "G" dated run of Krieghoff Lugers, serial numbers 1-100, represent the firm's first real entry into military armament production. A sporting arms firm both before and after Hitler's era, Krieghoff Lugers were carried as sidearms by Luftwaffe ground troops and Flak operators, and the quality of the pistols would lead to further Luftwaffe arms contracts. Fixed sights, with the "G" date code on the chamber and the early "anchor/SUHL" B-1 die stamp on the front toggle link, which is only seen on the very early Krieghoffs. Matching numbers are present on the frame, extension, takedown and safety levers, side plate, toggle links and magazine base, with "eagle/2" proofs on multiple components and an "8.82" inner diameter mark on the barrel. Small parts are finished in a straw color, with a two-tone straw/fire blue magazine catch, checkered grips, and a nickel finished magazine.

Fine as professionally restored overall with most of the strong high polish blue concentrated on the barrel and extension, a mixed brown patina on the grip straps and trigger guard, scattered dings and pitting, bright edge wear, and mild handling marks. The grips are very good with flat spots on the checkering, some play in the right panel, and a chip absent from the left panel near the safety. Mechanically fine.
