This is a solid representative example of a DWM Model 1900 American Eagle "Test Luger." It has several of the small Ordnance Bomb type proofmarks inside the front frame cutout and on the underside of the barrel extension, but it does not have the last two digits of the serial number on the rounded portion of the takedown latch. It obviously does have the standard early features such as a grip safety, recessed breech bolt, dished toggles with toggle locks on the side. It has the full serial number "7178" on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel and the last two digits of the serial number (78) on the face of the recoil lug, front of the takedown lever, side plate, breech bolt, toggle assembly, and the back side of both grip panels. The pistol has a rust blue finish with straw colored smaller parts. It comes with a wood based, nickel plated magazine.
