Constructed from feldgrau wool, with silver wire piping around the crown, a one-piece trapezoidal "eagle/cockade" patch, and a pair of textured and green painted alloy buttons on the flaps. The underside of the visor is covered with yellow rayon, with a leather forehead sweatband and a yellow rayon inner liner with a black ink stamped "58" inside the crown. No maker's marks are visible.
