One of approximately 7,400 Lugers manufactured by Krieghoff in 1936, including the "S" dated pistols and the "plain English" dated examples. Fixed sights, with "36" and "droop wing eagle" proofs in the chamber region, "8,85" diameter marked barrel, and the Krieghoff "anchor" logo on the front toggle link in the very early "Type A" pattern, which is mostly associated with 1935 production and sometimes associated with parts sourced from DWM. The small parts are straw colored, with a niter blue magazine catch, brown grips, and a nickel finished magazine with a "4345" marked alloy base. With a "droop eagle/2" marked black leather flap holster and a matching numbered blued/alloy magazine.

Fine. The majority of the professionally restored blue finish has turned a plum patina, with traces of blue in the protected areas, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. Several components are unnumbered. Traces of straw color remain on the small parts, with some dents and flat spots on the grips. The reproduction holster is very good. Mechanically excellent.
