Description:

This is a scarce early prewar FN model 1935 HP pistol manufactured under Nazi occupation in Belgium circa 1940. This is considered as a subvariation I with the noted serial number range between 50000-53000. The serial number of this pistol, 51283, is stamped on the right side of the barrel chamber, slide and frame with all three matching. It has the standard commercial FN proofs and markings and is stamped with single WaA 613 Waffenamt proof on the chamber area of he barrel and lower left side of the frame. This example has a fixed front sight with the early tangent rear sight graduated from 50- 500 meters with the slotted back strap. It has the standard checkered walnut grips and it comes with one blued magazine that has a single "WaA 613" Waffenamt proof on the rear of the magazine body. It is accompanied by a typed history of the early Nazi occupation FN HP pistols written by Charles Kenyon.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% of the original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with thinning and brown speckling on the front grip strap. The grips are in very fine condition with nice visible checkering on the side showing handling marks on the sides mixed with some heavier pressure dents on the right grip. A desirable example of a scarce early Nazi occupation FN model 1935 pistol.
