Manufactured by an unknown contemporary maker, this is a 6-shot manually rotated pinfire pepperbox revolver installed onto a German silver ring. The ring is decorated with light vine engraving and "CONFEDERATE DEFENDER" around a niter blue drive spring for the serrated hammer. Included with the lot is a jewelry case which holds the ring pistol, two screwdrivers and three pinfire cartridges. The interior of the lid is lined in skin marked with a Gertrude Jones of Manchester label.
