Manufactured by an unknown contemporary maker, this is a 6-shot manually rotated pinfire pepperbox revolver installed onto a German silver ring. The ring is decorated with light vine engraving and "CONFEDERATE DEFENDER" around a niter blue drive spring for the serrated hammer. Included with the lot is a jewelry case which holds the ring pistol, two screwdrivers and three pinfire cartridges. The interior of the lid is lined in skin marked with a Gertrude Jones of Manchester label.

Near mint as custom made. The barrel cluster retains most of the straw color showing a drag line. The German silver is fine. The remaining surfaces retain nearly all of the custom nitre blue. The manual action is excellent. The case is very good showing some scattered minor wear.
