Model 2 manufactured in 1855. The top barrel flat has the two line 1855 patent marking followed by the two line address flanked by Maltese crosses and with the pointing finger. The cylinder is roll engraved with the Cabin and Indian scene and is marked "COLT'S PATENT/No. 1244." Matching numbers are found on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Comes in a period wooden partitioned case lined in velvet and containing an empty brass cap tin, "COLTS/PATENT" marked eagle flask and iron two cavity bullet mold, sealed package of combustible envelope cartridges, single face Colt's patent eagle powder flask, case key and "COLT'S PATENT" marked two-cavity bullet mold.
