Manufactured in 1911. The left side of the barrel ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two line address/patent dates and the left rear is marked "MOD. 1903 .22 CAL. AUTOMATIC./--WINCHESTER--/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF." The Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech and the left side of the barrel and receiver are marked with the British provisional proofmark. Matching serial number on the receiver and trigger guard plate. Dovetailed beaded blade front sight, adjustable rear sporting sight and a short range tang mounted peep sight. Mounted with a steel crescent buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% plus bright original blue finish with some very mild muzzle wear, some minor flaking on the trigger guard, a few minor dings on the receiver as well as an area of minor scratches and minor corrosion on the left rear. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches. The underside of the stock is non-factory stamped "56016" followed by an inverted "T" and a "*" (possibly registration number?). The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
