Winchester manufactured only about 5,700 Model 65 rifles between 1933 and 1947. The consignor states that the deluxe models were manufactured from 1942 to 1947. He also states that only 1,502 Model 65's were chambered for .25-20, with even fewer in deluxe. It has standard barrel and receiver markings including the Winchester "WP" proofs at the breech. The upper tang markings are absent which is similar to other post-war Winchester lever action rifles. Features a ramped blade front sight and a adjustable buckhorn rear sight. Mounted with a checkered forearm and stock with a steel forend cap, hard rubber Winchester grip cap, and checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% of the original blue finish with light scattered scratches and handling marks overall. The stock is also excellent with a few minor pressure dents and scratches. The checkering is sharp. Mechanically excellent.
