Description:

Manufactured in 1955 and chambered in scarce .45 Colt. Around 200 of these revolvers were chambered in .45 Colt from 1953 to 1957. It features a ramp front sight, adjustable notch rear sight, standard markings, 5-screw frame, serrated grip straps and checkered S&W medallion grips. Matching numbers are found on the butt, barrel and cylinder. The factory maroon box is numbered to the gun. The bottom of the box retains period Klein's Sporting Goods retailer labels, and the end label has the correct caliber marking. The included factory letter confirms the caliber and 6 1/2 inch barrel. The revolver was shipped on 1 April 1955.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish showing traces of a cylinder drag line. The hammer and trigger retain nearly all of the original case colors. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling marks (mostly near the tops) and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is excellent showing some scattered wear and retaining most of the end label.
