This is a beautiful example of a Blaser S2 double express rifle. The frame, trigger guard and break lever are engraved with English scroll patterns. The left side lock is relief engraved with a scene of an African elephant and there is a jungle scene of a water buffalo on the right lock. The underside of the frame has a rhino in a jungle scene surrounded by an English scroll pattern and "Blaser" in a banner above the scene. The lower right front is signed "R. Schmidt". The breech end of the barrels have a 2 inch wedge of English scroll engraving. The upper left side of the barrel near the breech is marked "S2 DB", "Blaser", "Germany/DE", "Cal. .470 N.E.", ".470 N.E." and "No P/02438", and the right side is marked with the one line address and the warning statement. Solid rib with a ramped front with a blade front sight and a mid ramp with a fixed white line "u" rear sight. Double gold washed triggers and breechblock, tang mounted automatic thumb push safety, blue barrels, grey on the remaining metal surfaces, and mounted with a very nicely figured deluxe multi-point checkered walnut forearm with ebony forend and pistol grip stock with an engraved satin grey cap (lions head and English scroll), cheek piece, solid recoil pad and sling swivel stud. It also includes an Aimpoint Micro H-1 red dot sight which fits on the saddle mount slots in the top of the barrel rib at the breech. The stock measurements and weight are: drop at comb 1 inch; drop at heel 1 7/8 inches; length of pull 14 3/4 inches; weight 11 Lbs. 14 Oz.
