This is a typical 1920 commercial that was manufactured from a rebuilt WWI military pistol as it has the low serial number of "30" with the "n" suffix. It has a blank chamber area and the DWM logo markings on the front toggle. This Luger was evidently shipped or carried directly to Buenos Aries as it lacks the typical "GERMANY" export markings. The barrel is stamped on top: "J. CANEDO/611 RIVADAVIA.611/Bs ARIES". It is stored in a small white case with a shiny cloth material cover and red felt interior. Inside the lid is affixed a small silver presentation pate (3 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches) that reads: "La Portena/ARMERIA y CUCHILLEERIA/JUAN y CANEDO/611 RIVADAVIA .611/BUENOS ARIES". The left side of the barrel extension, the underside of the barrel and the left side of the breech bolt are all marked with the early commercial "Crown/N" proofmark. It is correctly numbered in the commercial manner with the full serial number "30n" stamped on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel and the serial number "30" also stamped on the various smaller parts. It has the commercial type blue finish, straw colored small parts and checkered beechwood grips. This pistol included two early commercial type magazines with unmarked wood bases. The case measures 9 1/2 X 7 1/2 inches.

Fine with 95% refurbished blue finish that was probably applied in Argentina, with edge and high spot wear. It has clear distinct markings. The smaller parts retain 75% of their straw colors overall. The walnut grips are in very good condition with nice distinct checkering overall, minor handling marks in various places, and a couple small pressure dents on the lower left side. The custom made case is in very good condition with 95% of the outer cover overall, wear and flaking the material on the edges and high spots mixed with some light age cracks on the lid and underside.
