World War I Artillery Luger Second Model Snail Drum Magazine with Loading Tool

Numbered "173168" and stamped "B/N" top and bottom, this is an early style Second Model magazine with the folding winding lever, a single reinforcing ring on the lower panel and a flat top, with "J" stamped on the upper edge. With a "B/N" stamped loading tool and an unmarked black leather case with a single leather strap.

ConditionThe magazine is very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, and a few small patches of shallow pitting. It has not been test loaded, though it appears to be in good mechanical order. The loader is slightly rougher, with traces of the black finish and a rough texture to the metal. The leather case is very good as a modern reproduction, with an extremely tight fit to the magazine.
