Manufactured in 1943. An included War Department Shipping Document indicates that this pistol was sold from inventory at Augusta Arsenal in November of 1946 to Colonel David E. Barnett, an Infantry officer stationed at Fort Bragg. It has fixed sights, the "U.S. PROPERTY" mark on the right side of the frame, parkerized finish, and a pair of checkered Colt medallion grips. Included with the pistol is a brown cardboard "Kraft" box (with a struck-out number a mere 4 off from this pistol), a Colt instruction sheet, and a larger "Protecta-Gun" brand brown cardboard box.

Excellent with 99% plus original parkerized finish, some mild spotting and edge wear, and as some light scratches. The grips are also excellent with a few dark spots and dents. Appropriate wear, edge tears and staining is present on the smaller box, and the larger box is still fresh. Mechanically excellent.
