Only an estimated 1,000 of these revolvers were manufactured in the late 1860s. Production was halted due to violation of the Rollin White patent. Earlier Warner percussion revolvers were also removed from production due to patent infringement suits. This example has matching serial numbers on the bottom of the barrel, the cylinder pin, inside of the left grip panel, and the butt. It has standard sights, "WARNER'S PATENT 1857" on the cylinder, and smooth rosewood grips. It comes in an ornate gutta percha case with floral designs and scrollwork, similarly patterned purple lining, and a cartridge block.

Fine. Traces of the original blue finish remain with attractive darkened original silver plating remain in protected areas. Faint case colors remain on the hammer. The balance has gray and brown patina mixed with light pitting. The grips are also fine with moderate lower edge wear including some chipping. The action is mechanically excellent. The case is very good with mild exterior wear, tearing/compression of the lid lining from contact with the cylinder, and heavy fading and minor tearing of the base lining. This is a rare opportunity to get your hands on a scarce Warner Pocket revolver complete with a rare gutta percha case.
