Manufactured in 1970 and subsequently custom engraved and gold inlaid. Features a thin gold inlaid band at the muzzle followed by wedges of light scroll and the Ruger factory markings. The top of the barrel is engraved with a near full length wedge of fine scroll with punch dot backing. The frame, recoil shields and cylinder are similarly engraved with a matching gold wire band around the back of the cylinder. The hammer and trigger have been brilliantly jeweled. Fitted with a 24k gold gilded brass grip frame and smooth grips. Includes a John Gagnel certificate of authenticity listing the engraver and grip frame maker. The serial number on the certificate does not match but if may just be an error.

Very fine as professionally embellished and finished with 99% of the blue and gold finish and a small trace of spotting on the barrel. The grips have a small inclusion on the bottom of the left panel and faint discoloration around the butt. Mechanically excellent.
