Description:

This cane air gun or "air cane" is 37 3/4 inches in length. It is mostly black with a creamy cap. It has small blade and notch sights and comes in a hardwood case with blue fabric lined interior English fitted to the two major section of the gun, the ramrod (stores within the barrel), a cocking wrench, patch cutter, lead ball, bullet mold, pump, and key. Air canes were popular in Great British from the 19th century until the end of WWI and primarily curiosities occasionally used for informal target shooting and even hunting but rarely self-defense unlike cane swords.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the Japanned black finish on the lower section and 60% on the reservoir section. The worn areas have gray patina and reddish hues. The brass tip has aged patina, and the pump has gray and brown patina. The handle/cap has a mild crack on one side. The case is fine with some chipping and storage wear, the lock plate absent, and the lock non-functional. The action has not been tested.
