A) Smith & Wesson Model 1950 .38/44 Outdoorsman Revolver

The included factory letter confirms the model, serial number, barrel length, caliber, sights, finish, grips, and a March 28, 1950, date of shipment to M&H Sporting Goods Co., Philadelphia, PA. The revolver has standard markings and features.

Rating definitionVery fine. 95% plus original blue finish remains with cylinder drag line, areas of mild edge wear, small surface scratches, and handling marks overall. The grips are very good with some small chips on the right panel, indentations on the butt, and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.

B) Pre-World War II Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty Double Action Revolver with Pearl Grips

The included factory letter confirms the model, serial number, barrel length, and the July 1, 1935, date of shipment to Von Lengerke & Antoine of Chicago, IL. The letter further states that the revolver was shipped with checkered walnut grips. The revolver has standard markings and features and is fitted with smooth mother of pearl grips.

Rating definitionVery fine. 97% plus original blue finish remains with scattered small surface scratches, some light edge wear, small cylinder drag line, and traces of light surface spotting. The grips are very fine replacements with light handling marks and some faint discoloration along the upper edge. Mechanically excellent.
